Tributes Continue for the Reiners as Medical Examiner's Findings Remain Under Wraps.

More than two weeks subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of esteemed filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community are still paying respects to the couple.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Pays Tribute to His Director

Sharing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, explained he just recently felt able to express about his personal sorrow.

"Adequate time has elapsed that I can finally express my sorrow into words," wrote Elwes, adding that his introductory moment with Reiner created an instant bond. "Once we started passing more hours together I knew this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor uploaded behind-the-scenes footage from the film, remarking that he cannot recall "one day without mirth".

"The movie is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Values that Rob cherished deeply. Which is among the many reasons he was the ideal person to guide it," Elwes expressed.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, saying: "Asserting that they were a incredible duo would be an oversimplification. My heart still hurts every time I think of you." He finished with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Colleague and Comrade

In a separate tribute, legendary director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was very funny and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese shared.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the main character.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a expert at comedy, he worked seamlessly with everyone, and he comprehended the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese noted.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Sealed

This week, a Los Angeles superior court judge agreed to bar the disclosure of the Reiners' autopsy reports, following a petition from the LAPD.

A court order issued a security hold on the cases to restrict the public release of "related notes, evidence and photographs" connected to the probe.

The relevant authority had already determined their deaths were the consequence of homicide, with a public database listing the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Response and Criticism

Following the deaths, public individuals expressed divergent comments.

Former President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, providing controversial remarks that were broadly criticized by many individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his voice to the detractors recently. Conversing on his podcast, Rogan characterized the remarks as "disturbing" and suggested they demonstrated a concerning deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan ended by suggesting that an aide should have stepped in when the choice to speak on the tragedy was made.
