Air travel have recommenced at Edinburgh Airport following a major technical issue at the control tower halted all operations.

Every arrival and departure were stopped because of an systems problem that arose around 08:30.

A number of travelers were left waiting in aircraft on the tarmac as the outage continued.

Services Recommence with Residual Impact

Officials announced at 10:40 that operations had restarted, and expressed gratitude to passengers for their "cooperation and patience".

However, ongoing issues are anticipated to continue throughout the day. Services bound for key destinations like Amsterdam, Frankfurt, London, and Bristol have been axed, with numerous other services subject to postponements.
