Canada Cleared of American Claims of Rigging Skeleton Olympic Selection Race

The Canadian skeleton team were cleared of accusations that they deliberately manipulated a selection race for the upcoming Games, thereby denying rival athletes a chance to secure their place.

A prominent American athlete a five-time Olympian accused the team from Canada of pulling a majority of its competitors from a race in Lake Placid. “Existing federation regulations allow member nations to pull competitors from competition at any time,” declared the International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation (IBSF).
