Aircraft Transporting US Defense Secretary Required to Touch Down in UK Because of Crack in Windshield
An aircraft ferrying Pete Hegseth was compelled to make an unplanned landing in the Britain on Wednesday after a crack was discovered in the jet's front window, as stated by an announcement which confirmed that Hegseth was safe.
"The plane landed following established safety measures and all individuals on the flight, among them Pete Hegseth, is safe," a press officer commented in a public statement.
Hegseth was returning from a short visit to Brussels during the flight.
This incident is not the first occasion that a US military aircraft transporting a top government figure has encountered mechanical issues.
Earlier this year, a American military jet carrying Marco Rubio to Munich was required to return to the US capital after encountering a technical issue.
